Let fleets drive and facilities wash.

Tankerflow handles everything in between.

What a tank wash is

A tank trailer hauls liquid or dry bulk: food such as juice, dairy, oils and sweeteners, chemicals, some of them hazardous, and more. Between loads the tank is washed so the next product isn't contaminated by the last one.

A wash is a compliance event as much as a cleaning. The shipper of the next load often needs proof that the tank was washed to its standard, and some products can only be loaded after a wash at a certified wash facility: kosher agencies, dairy and juice programs, or a chemical company's approval.

Why it's hard today

  • Finding a wash facility is phone work. Which ones are near the route, open, and able to wash this product in this trailer, with the right certification?
  • Waiting is the default. A driver pulls in and waits for a bay, or drives past a wash facility with one open.
  • Paperwork is manual. Wash certificates and receipts are paper or PDFs that have to reach the shipper, and reconciling wash spend is a spreadsheet job.
  • Wash facilities run on the phone. Bays sit idle while the phone rings, and the schedule lives on a whiteboard.

Where Tankerflow sits

Tankerflow is the shared system between fleets and wash facilities. Fleets search and book for free. Wash facilities claim their listing, keep it accurate and turn on online bookings, and each booking arrives with everything they need to know.

We're a software platform. We don't own or operate wash facilities. Our job is to make the interaction between a fleet and a wash facility so easy that it disappears.

What we hold to

  1. Accuracy comes first. A wrong listing sends a driver on a wasted detour, so listings are verified through claims and kept current by the wash facility.
  2. Every bay counts. A wash facility that washes food and chemical loads may have one bay for each, so search, availability and booking work bay by bay.
  3. Bookable is a promise. Turning on bookings is the wash facility's agreement to honor them, so a booking is on the schedule right away. When either side cancels, the other side hears about it.
  4. Fleets are free.
  5. Phone and desk. Drivers book from a phone and dispatchers from a desk, with the same features on both.
  6. Every feature removes admin. If a change adds a call, a form or a wait for either side, it's going the wrong way.
Coming soon

Where we're going

We're building toward every wash between a fleet and a wash facility happening through Tankerflow, from finding the bay to proving the wash. Online payments, digital receipts, wash certificates that shippers and receivers can verify, and automatic delivery of those documents are coming soon. Then each wash has one record: where, when, which bay, what was washed, what it cost, and proof.
