Dairy tank wash facilities
Under the Grade "A" Pasteurized Milk Ordinance (PMO), milk tank trucks that haul Grade "A" milk must be washed and sanitized at a permitted milk plant, receiving station, transfer station or milk tank truck cleaning facility. These facilities are on the FDA's Interstate Milk Shippers (IMS) List or hold a state permit, and a permitted cleaning facility is inspected at least once every six months.
